Looking for a new convertible to blast around the streets of Escondido and greater San Diego? Well here at Audi Escondido we think we have a real winner with the Audi TT. It's a perennial favorite among auto enthusiasts and casual drivers alike and we expect great things from the forthcoming 2014 model.

Walter de Silva, head of Volkswagen group design, has confirmed a few sparse details about the next generation TT, such as commenting that the new model "looks TT, 100 percent, but in a different way."1 What this means, we will have to wait and see, as spy shot photographers have only managed to get glimpses of the test mule TT.

Though we've also heard rumors of a diesel version in the works, while it's likely the car will continue to have a 2.0 liter turbocharged DOHC engine boasting 211 horsepower and 258 pound-per-foot of torque. Using Volkswagen's new platform, MQB, the car will weigh less, have a longer wheelbase and deliver increased fuel efficiency. The current model achieves 22 miles-per-gallon city and 31 highway.
