Though details regarding the redesigned S3 Sportback have already reached the new Audi ambassadors at Audi Escondido, the luxury automaker is still gearing up for an official reveal at the Geneva Motor Show.

Given what's been done to the fierce hatchback, we can't say we're all that surprised. It only makes sense that Audi would want to show off its brilliant work on one of the automotive industry's grandest stages. Can't wait for that long? As we said, we have some details to share with you.

First and foremost, the engine in the Audi S3 Sportback has been given an extra kick of power. Its 2.0-liter TFSI engine now delivers 300 horsepower at 5,500 rpm. Its performance, however, isn't limited to output: Audi has also lowered its suspension by roughly one inch. This, along with a new axle-load distribution of 59 percent to 41 percent, will result in more precise handling.

The only question we have regarding the all-new Audi S3 Sportback is whether or not it will be available here at 1556 Auto Park Way Escondido, CA. The previous iteration never made it to the United States, but we wouldn't be surprised to see it offered to drivers from San Diego, San Marcos and beyond.

Our reasoning? Performance-driven hatchbacks from the likes of the Blue Oval have started attracting some serious attention lately, and we have a hard time imagining Audi shying away from such growing demand.
