Consumer Reports: Refinement and High-Tech Additions Make 2018 Audi Q5 Solid

As we wrote about recently, the 2018 Audi Q5 is back in its second generation. The key word for this model is “refinement”—everything from its looks to its engine and equipment list has been tailored for modern times. The result is a commendable luxury crossover that reviewers like Consumer Reports can’t get enough of.

Like last year, the Q5 can be had in Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige guises. Standard on all models is the legendary Quattro all-wheel drive system with ultra technology, which drives the front wheels until more traction enables it to bring all four into play. This enables the Q5 an impressive 27 mpg highway gas mileage rating, but it only goes up from there. Standard leather, MMI, and safety options like pre sense basic and city can be found on all trims, while Virtual Cockpit, Audi Connect, and a Bang & Olufsen sound system make excellent add ons.
